Christiän Novä was born in Seattle Washington in 1989, and from a very young age enthralled by the world of art and design.

By the time Christiän was 14, he was pouring bronze alongside his grandfather Tom, a renowned metal worker who taught young Christian the joy of creating artwork with his hands. It was during this time he spent living on the San Juan islands , working and living with his grandfather, that his passion was ignited which would eventually evolve into a successful career as a world renowned tattoo artist.

 By the time Christiän had turned 18, he was immersed in the world of punk rock and heavily influenced by traditional tattoo aesthetic. Becoming fully self taught, he spent his high school years in street shops and tattooing his friends .  His work would evolve over the years into his own trademark style , making a name for himself as specializing in Sacred Geometry, Ornamental , & Neo Tribal. Known as a master of his craft , he combines both bold and intricate compositions with the use of heavy black and intricate dotwork. 

 Christiän pulls a his tattoo design inspiration from the natural and spiritual world , Fractal formations, Sacred Geometry , Indigenous cultures , psychedelic medicine & Visionary art. He blends these influences with his love for traditional and tribal tattoos to create a unique style of his own.

  Christiän has worked in some of the best tattoo studios on the west coast specializing in Blackwork and Geometric tattoos , such as Old Crow Tattoo, Black Hexagon, Form 8, Site of Grace and Cosmic Dialect , and has learned from some of the best artists in the industry such as Kenji Alucky and Ben Volt.

Christian's experience working in a variety of high end tattoo studios over the years gave him the experience and clientele needed to open up his own private studio Nova Tribe Studioc

Christiän has been working in a private studio since 2018, where he creates his tattoo work in a beautiful and professional space, located in the East Bay Area, California . You can occasionally catch Christiän guest spotting at conventions and studios coast to coast and internationally.
